Seven Foundation Soccer Foot Skills

Skill Technical 4 Touch Lateral Motion Girls

Promotes touching the ball with all 4-foot surfaces. An excellent warm-up for all players. Select the Skill then Watch, listen, and try this skill for a minimum of 10 repetitions. This is the basis for all of your control touches when you start passing and shooting. Grab a Soccer ball and start using the training app.

Skill Technical Outside Hook Turn Boys

The Outside Hook Turn is used to keep the ball in play, to turn away from your opponent, or to just change direction for opening up play for passing, shooting, or keeping possession. Select the Skill then Watch, listen, and try this skill for a minimum of 10 repetitions

Skill Technical Inside Hook Turn Girls

The Inside Foot Hook Turn is used for turns or keeping possession. It can also be used when the opposition is encountered or the ball looks like it is heading out of bounds. Select the Skill then Watch, listen, and try this skill for a minimum of 10 repetitions

Skill Technical Lateral Roll Girls

Used for ball control and stability. Produces good coordination and balance within a player and can be used for shielding and protection of the ball. Select the Skill then Watch, listen, and try this skill for a minimum of 10 repetitions.

Skill Technical Dragback Turn Boys

The Sole of the Foot Dragback Turn is used to keep the ball in play, to change direction, and to allow the player more room on the field to select the next pass, the next move, or the next dribbling task needed. Select the Skill then Watch, listen, and try this skill for a minimum of 10 repetitions.

Skill Technical Passing Side Foot Girls

Used for striking the foot for passing and shooting. Select the Skill then Watch, listen, and try this skill for a minimum of 10 repetitions. Use a wall as a backboard.

Skill Technical Juggling Laces One Bounce Boys

Learning to develop timing on lifting the ball into the air using major muscle groups, developing coordination, timing, and depth perception. Try this on the cement or pavement to get the ball to bounce higher. A Tennis Court works great and is fun to play over the net.

Activity OnePlayer 1st Dribbling Circuit

With 3 low profile cones. 1st cone is the starting point with 2nd cone 8 yards out, and 3rd cone is 10 yards out leaving a 2-yard gap. The player starts out dribbling using the inside and outside of the foot while dribbling and circling around the 2nd cone returning to the beginning. Follow the instructions in the drill.

Activity OnePlayer 2nd Dribbling Circuit

3 cones or markers dribble the ball and lay the ball off between cones 2 & 3 run around cone 3 & lay the ball off between cones 2 & 3 once again, circle back around cone 3 returning with w/ball 3 times. Follow the instructions in the drill.
